Jessica graduated from Bel-Rea Institute in June of 2011, receiving her Associate degree in Applied Science and certification in Veterinary Technology. As a technician, she practiced at a few veterinary clinics in addition to a doggy daycare facility. After discovering CRCG and the services offered there, she became interested in canine rehab. In March 2014, she joined the CRCG team and later received her canine rehab veterinary nurse certification.
She currently enjoys every aspect of her job: playing a big role in each pet’s health, happiness and comfort by assisting in appropriate pain management, building and maintaining strength, and in some cases re-training patients how to move or walk. She was surprised how much fun a job could be, with the opportunity to develop deeper relationships with regular clients/patients. Observing a patient’s progress and improvement over a period of time is a major reward here at CRCG, and in particular enhancing a dog’s mobility for a more functional and joyful life. She also has experience with in-home daycare for canines with special needs (post-op, geriatric, injured).
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys taking her dog to lakes, bike riding, hiking, and spending time outdoors. Pictured with her is Riley, her Shepherd/Lab mix.
