Donnie graduated from Kansas State University in 2001 with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education. He taught band for grades 5-12, and eventually received his Master’s degree in Trumpet performance. After many years of dabbling in education and the service industry bartending, he realized his passion for animals and went back to school again.
Donnie will receive his degree in veterinary technology from the Community College of Denver in December of 2023. He plans to continue his path with CRCG to help dogs in rehabilitation.
