Dr. Lerin grew up in northern Illinois and received both undergraduate and DVM degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. After vet school she moved to Wisconsin and practiced emergency and critical care medicine at a veterinary hospital in the Milwaukee area for 5 years. Upon developing a distaste for overnight shifts and desiring a deeper connection with her patients and clients, she switched gears and began her journey in rehabilitation medicine and acupuncture in 2018. Dr. Lerin received both her rehabilitation and acupuncture certifications from Canine Rehabilitation Institute (CRI) and she ran the rehabilitation service at the same Milwaukee hospital until she moved to Colorado in December 2023. She is very happy to be a part of the CRCG team, surrounded by colleagues who share her love and passion for rehabilitation medicine, pets and their people, and the joy of living life to its fullest.
In her personal time, Dr. Lerin enjoys bargain shopping, completing DIY home projects, playing fantasy football, and traveling the world. She shares her home with her husband (also a veterinarian), Andrew, and two dogs, Joey and Freckle.
