Dr. Gilbert attended Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a minor in Microbiology. After graduating from OSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine, she moved to Colorado where she practiced emergency medicine before transitioning into general practice.
Dr. Gilbert is an integrative practitioner with a passion for pain management. She uses both Western and Eastern medicine for improved patient outcomes. She was trained in traditional Chinese acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) and has additional training in modern pain management strategies.
Dr. Gilbert’s interest in pain management started with her own dog, Buster Brown. Buster struggled with arthritis, and Dr. Gilbert turned to alternative medicine like acupuncture and laser therapy when conventional therapies were not enough to keep him comfortable. She saw the value in using an integrative approach to pain management and has since dedicated her professional career to helping pets like Buster Brown live their best lives.
When Dr. Gilbert is not treating patients, you can find her and her partner Josiah hiking with their Doberman Pincher Harlow, or watching their favorite cartoons with their two kitties, Hunson and Jasper.
