Marissa is a Colorado native who graduated from Bel-Rea Institute in June
2021 with an Associates degree of Applied Science with a certification in
Veterinary Technology. She trained horses for four years while attending
high school, where she learned about leadership and how to communicate with
large animals using body language and hand signals. She followed her passion
for animals and graduated with an Associates Degree of Science with a
Designation in Animal Science from Northeastern Junior College. She realized
that she wanted a more hands on approach with animals and decided to become
a Veterinary Technician and be a voice for animals in need. While interning
at CASE, formally Alpenglow and Aspen Meadow Animal Hospital, she fell in
love with rehabilitation and the ability to work with dogs and cats of all
ages and aliments.
Outside of work, you can often find her hanging out with her three favorite
dogs: Loki, Licks, and Thor. As a self taught photographer, she enjoys taking
pictures of her friends, family, and the beautiful landscape that Colorado
has to offer.
