Kendra was born as a 5th Generation Coloradan in Englewood. She grew up with Jake, a loving German Shepherd and Ms. Pickles, a pot-belly pig. When she was in preschool, her family started rescuing/fostering pugs, which is when Tubby and Rocky joined the family, the first and last foster failures. It’s hard to tell a 6 year old they have to give back a pug, let alone a little black pug and a chubby, fawn pug. With these rescued pets (along with 3 other dogs, one hamster, and one squeaky guinea pig), Kendra developed a love for animals, especially the ones that need a little bit more love and support. While Jake, Tubby, Ms. Pickles, and the other beloved pets have passed on, Rocky is still kicking at 16 years old! Kendra recently graduated from Arapahoe Community College and is looking to find a career path, possibly among animals. She loves meeting new, amazing pets everyday and being a part of a team that helps dogs get the most out of their time with their pet parents.
